Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo appear rotated only in some apps?
Phones often store orientation as an EXIF tag instead of rotating the pixels. JFIF.IO applies that tag, so the saved image looks right everywhere.
What happens to the corners with custom angles?
The canvas grows to fit the rotated image. The corners are transparent, or filled with the background colour for formats without transparency.
